| Radio Apac
Womens Forum (RAWF) is a radio production group formed by the
female listeners of Rado Apac. It is managed and run by the
women themselves while the radio program and related media activities
are conducted by the members of the group. RAWF
was initiated in October 2000 after the results of the recommendations
of Radio Apac sector workshop held at the Parish Hall in Apac.
Its main objective was to offer a platform where the women
in the Apac community could access or share information and
discuss issues affecting their lives in their everyday lives.
The Women’s
Forum has one hour of radio airtime every Monday to Saturday
from 2.00pm to 3.00pm. This radio program is run by the women
presenters from Radio Apac along with other women’s
NGO’s and CBO’s, resource persons in the community
and all the women members. |
