OUTPUT OF EACH ACTIVITY CARRIED OUT

Multi-sectoral consultation:
This has been done to introduce our project to the local leaders, civil society groups etc, and invite interested partners willing to work with us.

Registration:
This was carried out at no cost and several groups were registered with us; we expect others to come register with us soon.

Procurement of equipments:
Equipments (e.g. video camera, video recorder, videotapes and television) were purchased.

Video equipment user training:
The training was successfully done using the video user’s manual and the whole team can operate the video camcorder now.

Research and Documentation:

  1. The research has brought the potential in the women groups to light (their locations, strengths and areas of weaknesses).
  2. Information that can lead to capacity building has been attained.

Impact of the implemented activities:

  1. Women groups who had been dormant have been encouraged and have woken up so that their activities can be resumed.
  2. Men realized the importance of the women groups and pledged to support their cause.
